Great all a round pet shop,i keep fish,they have all i need to stock and keep em all healthy.Once i a while they get sick and the shining star of the store Edna guides me through the process of their recovery. If i have a question,i call her a she is eager to share her years of knowledge. I would highly recommend.

I recommend this as a pond and fish store, I can't vouch for any other pets. For pond supplies, pretty much the only game in town, we travel up from Lewes to get barley, algaecides, nets, filter medium, etc. Nice selection of koi. They also sell a good variety of pond plants when in season. This is an old school pet store - not the chain atmosphere.
Bought everything to set up a new aquarium on March 29th. Today, April 14th, the 100 watt heater had a hot spot and felt electical to the touch. I went back for exchange. Mrs. Burns said I had to return to manufacturer! Tough luck to the fish. Went to Petsmart and they said I could have returnd within 60 days. Soooo, I tried to keep a mom and pop on the top list, but this is very bad bisiness. I confirmed that the heater has a manufacturing defect, which is plain to see, to touch, and one even gets tingles when it's in the water. Too bad, Mrs. Burns claims to have had the shop for well over 57 years. Don't bother getting supplies here, just time and more money without old fashion customer support. Money pit!
The shop owner was quite rude and fish and supplies are very much overpriced. I could have overlooked the prices since they seem to have a good selection of aquarium items, but I will not support a local business that treats customers as though they were nothing more than a nuisance.
I bought a cat from them yrs ago. They told me she had no fleas and was healthy. While holding the cat I saw the fleas. She was covered in them. Cat was also sick as well. I've had other bad experiences there and refuse to shop there even if they were the last pet store on earth.
