El Charro was such an excellent find! It's a little store front that serves the best, authentic Mexican food! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! I don't speak Spanish and most of the people there speak very little English, but I had no problem getting across what I wanted to order. The food was delicious and it was so fun to walk through the shop!
Clean, very friendly. If you are looking for what I call the "California Taco Shop" experience, this is the closest I've found in the DMV, next to Taco Bar in Gaithersburg. Delicious tacos, tamales and burritos. Yes, I ate all of them in one sitting. I have big muscles, so I can get away with it. Their fresh salsas were also outstanding. Reasonably priced.

Insanely good Mexican food. Three different house made salsas, all balanced and nuanced, real sopes with the thick masa base, perfect tamales carefully rolled and filled with the right ratio of masa to filling, tender and delicious carne asada. Everything carefully seasoned. I can't wait to go back on the weekend for the menudo and posole. I didn't have food this good in Mexico. A real treasure
