For the cost of yearly rental park should have earlier opening and closing times. Ppl that travel 4 hrs to get here and can only spend a few weekends and maybe 2 weeks out of the summer and pay all your own utiilities should be able to stay here year round. Lot rent has increased anywhere from 200 a year to 300 a year and no new improvements seen to park especially the internet service no matter if the added more t0wers or not
This is a great place to visit and have a camper we love it down here can't wait to get here every weekend very friendly and family-oriented
My wife and I and all 6 of our kids,stayed in the Delaware cabin the last week of July 2017. It is from the bottom of our hearts one of the best weeks we've ever had as a loving family. We are avid campers whom get this, love to sleep in a big giant family tent. We usually visit Gettysburg,Pa. every summer for an awesome time camping. This year the family wanted something new. So the wife and I decided to take them to the beach this year. The kuds loved the idea but wanted to still go camping. So we searched the beaches of NewJersey and looked at a couple of campground websites. Yuck. I grew up going to the Jersey beaches and wanted something new. A neighbor of ours suggested we go to the Delaware beaches. Or Ocean City, Maryland. So we searched Google maps and tried to find a campground that was close enough so we could visit 2 beaches in one week. Turns out Homestead Campground is the perfect Campground to be able to fulfill our wishes. Just perfect. It's only a half hour drive to Rehobeth beach De. And only a 55 minute drive down to Ocean City ,Maryland.Both days were perfect. Especially knowing we were heading back to an evening camp fire at an awesome campground. Plus while we were enjoying our 7 day stay at Homestead, we got to fit in an awesome day at the Salisbury Zoo. Which isn't that far from you either. Just the perfect little campground in the perfect little town of Georgetown,Delaware. I will highly recommended your campground in the future. Great service from the staff. Beautifully maintained. And very family friendly. The Walsh family thanks you again for an Awesome time.
Clean and nice. Wish the camp store/community center had better hours. Also enforce kids driving golf carts. Almost got hit head on by a bunch of jerks driving at night. They were cutting through camp grounds and walking paths.
We just left staying 2 nights. Absolutely beautiful campground with plenty of amenities. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and clean. The neighborhood was nice. The staff was very friendly. We will be back to stay longer next time!
P.S. One more amazing thing. We brought a t.v. with us with a dvd player to watch movies at night with the family. And my wife and I had rented a Redbox video from in town. When we pulled into our driveway up here, 2 and a half hours away, I felt like we left something behind. It hit me after unloading all the luggage tgat we forgot to return the Redbox video. But where is the video you ask? Back at the Homestead Campground. I put it on top of the frame of the front door while we were cleaning our mess. And low and behold, I forgot about it. I panicked and told my wife we'd probably have to pay for the video. But I thought let me call Homestead. A lady answered and helped me out so caringly. First she tought I said I left a Redbox in the cabin. She said and I quote," Don't worry honey, I will mail the box up to you." What? You would do that? She said ofcourse. I then thought for a second and told her, All you have to do is return it to any Redbox in that area. She was confused and then she realized I was talking about a Redbox video, not a Red Box. Well she did return it. And I want to thank you for going out of your way for us. Now that right there just made us a fan of your establishment for life. Oh we will return for sure. And we will let every hard working family out there know that your Campground is Well Worth it!!!!!!!!
